I used Windows 98 for a weekend. It's surprisingly interesting.
(12 May 2026) So, I normally give myself access to newer OSes when I daily drive an older OS for a set amount of time, and thus need to promote the use of that older OS even if I don't need to. But this time, I've taken the liberty of making the only newer OS available to be Windows XP. And that's not even what I'm using this time, either: That would be Windows 98. But, only for a weekend. Regardless, why am I doing this, how am I doing this, and since when did I have a Windows 98 laptop?
