Can you still use Windows 7 in 2025?
This video, released on the 3rd of February, 2025, asks the question of how usable Windows 7 is in 2025. At 37K views, it is the first new video to hold the record since Windows Vista in 2023 (released 2023-02-21, see Previous Holders below) and overtook the video in views on the 30th of March, 2025. It has since established a major hold over the record and while having slowed down to the point where 50K views is unreasonable, current potential candidates such as Windows 98, XP, Vista and 7 in 2026 all need to continue getting a significant number of views monthly if they have any chance. Like "I used Windows 7 for a week. It's surprisingly pleasant", of the records it has, it holds on to them strongly.

This was the first video to reached 1,000 watch hours. Due to its continued and prolonged growth it was easily able to overtake Windows 7 for a week in this regard, and establish an unthreatened stronghold despite potential future competition as videos get higher and higher average retention, with Windows 98 in 2026 and Windows Vista in 2026 holding average view durations over 4 minutes.

While Windows 7 for a week's like count stagnated after reaching 500 likes, Windows 7 in 2025 kept going for at least some time, evident by its 600 likes. The current record change happened on the 16th of October, 2025.

This video was released on 2024 September 10th and holds this record fairly strongly. While its other records have since been usurped, it holds this record comfortably with Can you still Windows 7 in 2025? practically redundant, and the "Windows ___ in 2026" videos still needing to make up significant ground to even be close to taking this record.

Demolishing several daily statistic records, this relatively recent video was able to, by around 200 views, take over from Windows 10 videos in regards to the most views gained in 24 hours. While prior "Windows ___ in 2026" videos have ammassed thousands of views, the Windows 7 one takes the cake in the fastest growing one, gaining 7K views in under 2 weeks.
