Lenovo ThinkPad T480 (2018): Are they really that good?
(31 March 2026) What? Removable battery AND cell network connectivity on the SAME laptop? A 2018 LAPTOP TOO?? In a world of MacBook copycats, Lenovo stood out in the crowd as one of the last uncolonised bits of Wintel with the ThinkPad. While Lenovo's designers have partially assimilated into Apple's empire, the ThinkPad still has many defining quirks, and many people regard the ThinkPad T480 as the last "good" ThinkPad. While folks are now starting to look towards earlier T14 models, the ThinkPad T480 can be relatively capable in 2026, albeit milked to death by social media influencers.
